More than 240 leaders of the UK digital industry are getting ready for the 9th Digital Podge.
This years sporting theme has been devised by Precendent, while Naked Penguin Boy have provided the website www.digitalpodge.co.uk. The event takes place at The Institute of Directors in London on the 9th December. It will be the second Podge event supported by Shipley IP.
Phil Jones organised the original Podge Lunch back in 1994.
The aim is to bring together leaders in the field to enjoy a long afternoon chatting to people at the same level who have the same issues as they do and to share war stories and plan for the coming year with new ideas. Many collaborations have come out of the annual lunch, not to mention two weddings and three babies.
Mark Shipley, MD of Shipley IP, commented
The digital industry is constantly evolving so Podge is a great constant to have each year. It is a chance to reflect on the last year and also get a handle on what is coming over the hill in the next.
The invitation only events see a new crop of innovators brought in to the fold each year to keep them fresh. Podge relies on good friends to help make each event happen. This time, wordsmith Patrick Baglee has created the tone of voice and photographer Carl Ison will be shooting on the day.
Other partners making the last Podge of 2011 possible are The Talent Business, Adobe, Econsultancy and The Drum.
